Meandering along the slow moving San Antonio River, this 2-mile hike and bike trail is rich with historical and natural treasures. It winds its way past the Mission Espiritu Santo, the Goliad State Park and the Presidio La Bahía. The trail is named in honor of the heroine of the Texas Revolution, Francisca "Panchita" Alavez, who is responsible for saving 20 people from the Goliad massacre. This trail offers a haven for bird watchers, butterfly enthusiasts, and nature lovers on every visit.
