The plant contains two intermediate natural gas-fired steam-generating units. The plant has approximately 1,992 acres of land between the Laguna Madre and Oso Creek.
The plant has been closed but was recently taken over by Topaz Power Group and is being renovated with a planned reopening in 2010. The plant will employ about 30 people.
