Dead Man's Hole is also known as the area behind the Church or under the powerlines and should not be confused with Dead Man Hole which is further north. This area may be accessed from shore by the dirt road north of the Church. We do not recommend the use of any unpaved roads. This area is good for trout and redfish year-round. It can also be good for black drum in the winter and for flounder in the summer and fall. This area is good for wade fishing. Wade fishing can be very rewarding but can also can be dangerous for the inexperienced angler. Watch out for holes, drop-offs, soft bottoms, oyster shells and stingrays.
