Blue Crab

Scientific Name: Callinectes sapidus

Common Name: Blue Crab

Description: Blue and green on topside with a white underside, Common in bays and estuaries on muddy or sandy bottoms. Juveniles prefer less salty bays near river mouths, blue crabs feed on plants, small animals, and decaying organic material.
