Christmas in Goliad, presented by the Goliad County Historical Commission, is one of Goliad's largest events.
It begins with a lighted night parade on Friday and features booths selling handcrafted items and food surrounding the historic Goliad County Courthouse on Friday evening and all day Saturday. Santa Claus will arrive at the Square, riding a Longhorn, about noon on Saturday. There will be music and dance performances Friday night and all day Saturday; a dogcostume contest on Saturday; and an "Author's Corral" featuring authors of regional books selling and autographing their books. The event closes Saturday with Los Posada at the Presidio and a concert of Christmas music at the chapel of Mission Espiritu Santo on Saturday evening.
