Built in 1910, this two-story, 6,000 square foot building is one of the oldest remaining structures within the Palacios city limits. The museum is a member of the La Salle Odyssey Project, which tells the story of French explorers in Texas, captained by Rene-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle.
The museum is also the homeport of La Petite Belle, a half-scale replica of La Salle's ship "La Belle".
