The Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History has an impressive collection of archaeological, historical, archival, and biological specimens and artifacts. The collection includes artifacts recovered from the Spanish 16th century Padre Island Shipwreck and the French 17th century shipwreck La Belle from Matagorda Bay. It also includes the Doc McGregor Photographic Collection of over 250,000 prints and negatives that depict South Texas from the 1930s to 1960s.
