Dead Man Hole should not be confused with Dead Man's Hole which is further south. To make things even more confusing, there are two areas that are sometimes referred to as Dead Man Hole. One of them is a pocket in the northeast corner of Kate's Hole but the area that is most often considered to be Dead Man Hole is just north of the Crane Islands. This area is good for trout and redfish year-round and may be good for flounder in the late summer and early fall.
