At the geographic center of the Rio Grande Valley, this 176-acre refuge in Weslaco attracts a spectacular array of South Texas wildlife with its varied landscape of shallow lakes, woodlands and thorn forest. Explore the park's many trails, boardwalks, pavilions and observation decks. While you are there, visit the park store, Humedales Alegres, which features unique souvenirs as well as wetland, butterfly, bird and other wildlife merchandise.
