Kates Hole is another wadefishing area that is accessible from shore. It can be reached by the dirt road just north of Corpus Christi Pass. During wet weather this road can be very treacherous and if you get stuck or breakdown the towing fees can be unbelievably high. We do not recommend the use of any unpaved roads. This area can be good for trout and redfish in spring, summer and early fall. It may also hold flounder in late summer and early fall. This area is good for wade fishing. Wade fishing can be very rewarding but can also can be dangerous for the inexperienced angler. Watch out for holes, drop-offs, soft bottoms, oyster shells and stingrays.
