The Rockport Beach Park provides one mile of sandy beach on Aransas Bay. Bayfront beaches are different from Gulf beaches in that they usually have small, gentle waves and little or no current. The water is very shallow here, making it perfect for families with small children. Features include a swimming area, fishing piers, a walking trail, playgrounds and cabanas. There is a boat ramp that offers easy access to the Rockport Ski Basin. This beach is also good for kayaking, windsurfing and kite boarding.
The Rockport Beach Park has been designated a "Blue Wave Beach". The goal of Blue Wave is to promote public awareness and voluntary participation in maintaining clean and healthy beaches.
An entrance fee is required.
