This museum is the home of Brownsville founder Charles Stillman. It was built in 1850 and is both a recorded Texas Historical Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
It is the only historic house museum in the Rio Grande Valley still standing on its original location. The furnishings in the home are typical of the late 1800s and several treasures reside in the Stillman House Museum.
Open Tue - Sat 10-4. Admission $4.
