Site access restricted. Fee charged. As you enter, note the pond on your right with numerous whistling-duck nest boxes, part of the Texas Prairie Wetlands Project. The owners have involved The Nature Conservancy of Texas (TNCT), Ducks Unlimited, and TPWD in their habitat improvement work. The brushy habitat may be entered on foot via the trail through the archery course, or may be seen during guided tours. A variety of birds are usually present around the clubhouse, and American Alligators are remarkably common in the wetlands.
