In the 1880's a Spanish ship sank off St Josephs Island. A local man named Vincent rescued the only survivor, a Priest. The Priest told Vincent of treasures aboard the ship and then went for help to recover them. The ship soon washed up on the beach and Vincent found the treasure and buried it for safekeeping. Years later, the Priest returned, but Vincent could not find the buried treasure. When the Priest accused him of lying, Vincent went mad, killed the Priest, and then in remorse, killed himself.
