Where downtown Corpus Christi meets Corpus Christi Bay is known as The Bayfront. This area is the center of activity for downtown Corpus Christi.
The Bayfront features the seawall, which is a great place for a stroll to take in the view of the Corpus Christi Marina, home to hundreds of sailboats, yachts and other pleasure craft. The Marina area also includes the Selena Memorial and the Niņa, a replica of one of the Columbus Ships. One block in from the Marina is the Water St Market which includes shops, the Texas Surf Museum and the popular Water Street and Executive Surf Club restaurants.
At the north end of the sewall is the Bayfront Arts & Sciences Park which is home to the Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History, the Art Museum of South Texas, the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and the new Corpus Christi Bayfront Park. Just over the Harbor Bridge is the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington Museum.
