Texana Furniture Officially opened its door in 1989. We had been in the construction industry for years and started making furniture for our family. Since then, it has developed into furniture making and a gallery full of fine art that complements our furniture. We design and create furniture to please the eye as well as to be solid construction. The most popular wood requested for furniture is mesquite, then long leaf pine. We will use any wood requested as long as it is available. We can provide you with new home construction items such as doors, flooring, casings, cabinets, etc. Or , we can help you with your remodeling projects. David Clifton’s furniture designs capture the aura and mystique of the early Texas culture as well as that of the earlier European culture. Each piece of furniture captures the romance between the designs, the craft, and the wood. Early Texas furniture makers used the beauty of the wood the Texas hardwoods to enhance their designs. David also lends to this and this characteristic is what makes each piece of Texana Furniture so desirable. If you use the long leaf pine reclaimed from Texas structures, then you have a little of Texas History to leave to your children.
