Redfish Bay is a small bay system between Aransas Bay and Corpus Christi Bay. Many parts of the bay are very shallow. Despite its size, it contains some of the most famous and popular saltwater fishing areas on the Texas coast.
The area contains numerous islands, saltwater marshes, channels and shallow flats. It is divided by the causeway between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas. North of the causeway are the well-known Estes Flats, California Hole and the Lighthouse Lakes paddling trails. South of the causeway are the flats around Stedman Island, Dagger Island and the Brown and Root flats.
